Thursday, Nov. 9: Things to do in Carson City and beyond
The day may start out cold and wet, but nothing can rain on a three-day weekend. Tomorrow we observe Veterans Day, and say thank you to those who have fought for freedom and liberty. It definitely feels like soup weather, so it’s only appropriate that the Carson Chamber of Commerce is hosting one of their ‘Soup’s On’ Lectures. The holiday season approaches, and the Carson Mall is a collection point for Thanksgiving dinner staples. Swing by between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. today and drop off something for the FISH food bank. Family friendly BINGO at Dayton High School is a fundraiser for Safe and Sober Graduation Night. Try your luck and lend support to this year’s graduating class.
