Gov. Steve Sisolak is proposing a two-year budget that reverses cuts to Medicaid and other key K-12 programs made last summer, after financial projections left the state at what officials are calling an “inconsistent, if not positive, ending point” for tax revenue.

The Capital City Arts Initiative presents its exhibition, "H2O 2020", with work by eight Great Basin artists at the CCAI Courthouse Gallery: Cyndy Brenneman, Vanessa Martinez, Nolan Preece, Nancy Raven, Craig Sheppard, Dylan Silver, Cathryne Trachok, and Candida Webb. CARSON CITY, Nev. — The Stewart Indian School Cultural Center & Museum will reopen to the public on Monday, July 20, thanks to a generous donation from the family of a former Stewart Indian School principal. Opened in January and closed to the public in March because of the current health crisis, the Cultural Center faced severe budget cuts.

The Stewart Indian School Cultural Center and Museum received approval of a grant from the Western States Arts Federation CARES Act Fund in the amount of $20,000.

Fire behavior was minimal on the Numbers Fire on Thursday. No additional growth was reported on the fire, and containment increased from 20 percent to 30 percent.

Firefighters continue to make progress on the Numbers Fire southeast of Gardnerville, reaching 20 percent containment as of Wednesday evening.
