A pre-opening ribbon cutting was held by the Carson City Chamber on Tuesday, Jan. 19 to herald the grand opening of Carson City’s Chick-fil-A located at 4751 Cochise just off S. Carson Street turning on W. Appion Way and left on Cochise.

Senator Square: Banned books recognized, Spirit Week begins at Carson High School

It may be a bit quiet around the high school lately, but this will not stop the CHS Student Council from making their senior year one to remember. Leadership Adviser Ann Britt said, “I am pleased to announce the Corona Virus cannot take the fun out of everything, so we are hosting a Spirit Week, Sept. 25 through Oct. 2, at CHS.”

Boys & Girls Club offers back to school activities, learning programs for Carson City area kids

As the 2020-21 school year continues, the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada is packed with learning programs and exciting activities for kids of all ages.

The Carson City location at 1870 Russell Way is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with dozens of hands-on programs. Spots inside the building are limited to 135 kids each day, but countless activities will be held throughout the year.
