The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada is kicking off its first of several fundraisers. Like many other businesses the Children’s Museum is also struggling to make ends meet. Operating costs such as rent and utilities make it impossible for a nonprofit whose main funding source has been cut by 75% to make ends meet.

Carson City Toyota presents Richards Crossing with donation to support residents

Carson City Toyota has presented Richards Crossing, a Nevada Rural Housing Authority affordable housing property, a $1,000 donation to help provide residents household items. Since 1985, Carson City Toyota owners Dick and Mary Campagni have been committed to giving back to the community – for every car sold, a percentage always goes right back into the Northern Nevada community.

Five Carson City residents vying for Ward 3 seat on Board of Supervisors, appointment on Nov. 4

While the seat for Ward 2 will be filled following the election on Nov. 4, another seat is open and will be filled by appointment.

The seat for Ward 3 is currently held by Supervisor Lori Bagwell, who will be vacating now that she has been elected Carson City’s mayor.

Sierra Nevada Realtors give time, donations back to rural communities

Earlier this month, members of Sierra Nevada Realtors spent time improving their communities all throughout the region. The annual Realtors Give Back event was special this year because it also included areas outside of Carson City. Members participated in community service as a group in Dayton and gave a generous monetary donation to the Fallon Youth Club and to the Boys and Girls Club of Carson City.

Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days offers free dog and cat adoptions at participating Nevada animal shelters

INCLINE VILLAGE — Maddie’s Pet Project of Nevada is proud to announce Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days happening Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday Sept. 27, 2020. Thanks to funding provided by the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation, all adoption fees are being waived for dogs and cats at participating animal welfare organizations across Nevada during this event.

CycleNation returns to Northern Nevada to Support The American Heart Association, American Stroke Association
