Who's this? Surprised by a great horned owl in Indian Hills
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 09/26/2022 - 10:57amOn Friday night I walked outside to let the dog out and when I looked up I was greeted by a great horned owl (Bubo virginianus). It was very curious and seemed to have no fear at all. It decided to hang out in the trees nearby for a while. Then on Sunday I went for a bike ride and saw another one, possibly the same one, only a couple blocks away.

Record number of Bald Eagles spotted during 2021 annual Tahoe count
