What's happening around Carson City and beyond on this Sunday, July 30

Wind down the weekend with a bike ride with Muscle Powered, or maybe enjoy a trail on your own. You’ll find morning yoga at Comma Coffee, with another Community Yogi offering at the Carson City Library at noon. If you haven’t had your fill of cotton candy, carnival rides, ponies, and tractor pulls you’ve still got today to enjoy the Carson City Fair at Fuji Park. Kick off those Sunday shoes with a trip to the movie theater. You’ve got two chances to catch the 80’s classic ‘Footloose’ on the big screen today and Wednesday.

• -- Muscle Powered Weekly Bike Ride - Meet in the south parking lot of Fremont Elementary School, next to the Linear Ditch Trail (meet at 8am; consists of two loops 10-15 miles long each, this will allow a rider to do 10-15 miles or 20-30 miles; ride pace will vary depending on rider level, but usually about 12-16 mph; All riders must have a bicycle in safe working condition, helmet, and closed toed shoes. • -- Spirit of America Art Show in the Nevada Artists Association Gallery at the Brewery Arts Center (10am-4pm)

You’ll find plenty of ways to spend some quality time with the kids today. A trip around Mills Park on the Carson and Mills Park Railroad is perfect when paired with a picnic. ‘Into the Woods, Jr’ is the perfect production for the fairytale lovers. A to Zen hosts a music jam welcoming all ages and ability levels.
