Carson City emergency crews called to crash at Highway 50 East and Lompa
Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol were called late Saturday afternoon to a vehicle crash.
The incident was reported at 4:37 p.m. and is reportedly blocking traffic at the intersection. The vehicles had moderate to major damage, according to first responders on scene.
Five people were evaluated by Carson City Fire Department personnel with two people being taken to the hospital via ground ambulance.
Traffic is being diverted around the crash. Motorists can expect delays.
Around an hour earlier, at 3:39 p.m. Carson City Fire Department was called to the 3800 block of Highway 50 East for a vehicle fire, which caused traffic delays. No injuries were reported.
