The speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Bepsy Strasburg of Build2Win, a non-partisan community group that organizes workshops at convenient times to raise awareness of public policies, practices, and projects that affect the lives of Carson City residents.

I took some pictures using my Nikon point and shoot camera from my driveway in Carson City on Saturday. I held a pair of the solar glasses in front of my lens to protect the camera. It was a bit awkward but worked.

Carson High School Class of 1973 will be having a 50th class reunion celebration on Friday, October 27th (day before the Nevada Day parade).

Saturday, October 14th has been designated “White Cane Day” by the Carson City Host Lions Club. A recently escaped inmate and fugitive were arrested Wednesday in a Fernley apartment complex, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. Two nearby schools were placed in a brief lockdown during the incident.
