Carson Creepy Short Horror Film screenings, award show happening Saturday at BAC
With local directors and actors having taken on spine-chilling visions of the paranormal and macabre, their storytelling creativity will be unveiled this Saturday at the Carson Creepy Short Horror Film Competition at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.
The spirited congregation serves as a sanctum for both seasoned horror maestros and budding storytellers, united by their affinity for the uncanny. With the competition's Sept. 20 launch, participants were furnished with enigmatic prompts that intertwine seamlessly with their creations.
The competition culminates this Saturday, Oct. 14 when the Brewery Arts Center hosts the electrifying screening and awards ceremony.
The competition is a platform for local filmmakers to showcase their talent and creativity in the realm of horror. From seasoned horror filmmaker to newcomers with a passion for the macabre, this competition is an opportunity to captivate audiences with spine-chilling stories.
Aside from the terror-laden cinematic showcase, additional highlights of the evening include:
— Costume Contest: Dress to impress in your most frightful attire and compete in our costume contest. Unleash your creativity and embrace the horror within.

Showings are $10 matinee tickets for the 2 p.m. screening only and $20 general admission, which allows access to both the 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. screenings and award ceremony.
