Friday is finally here, and it gets the distinction of being the last one of 2016. New Year’s Eve tomorrow will be as chilly as the champagne, but the parties will be hot. Go HERE for a list of what your revelry options are. Tonight, you can get a sneak preview of some of the bands that will be playing: Route 66 at the Max Casino, Pearl Sky at Fandango, or Escalade at the Carson Nugget. Hit the dance floor at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar, DJ Clay has the mic tonight. Or take the mic yourself with karaoke at Whiskey Tavern.

On May 18, 2024, at around 12:50 a.m., Carson City Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Christopher Gorham. A drug-detection canine was used to conduct a sniff of the vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and located drug paraphernalia along with an explosive device.

Carson High Speech and Debate will be hosting the inaugural Carson High Show and Shine car show Saturday May 25th in the north parking lot of CHS from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Carson City woman allegedly stole credit card from stroke patient, racked up $5,400 in purchases
