Elizabeth Ann "Bobbe" Perry, 74, died Friday, April 30, 2010, in Carson City. She was born Sept. 10, 1935, in Alabama to Clyde M. and Mary E. Beck. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Bobbe Jean Horton. Elizabeth is survived by husband Bob Perry, son Curtis Horton, stepsons Rick and Robert David Perry, daughter Lee Ann Horton, stepdaughter Linda Sue O'Connor, sister Charlotte Dill, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m.

Karen "Kay" Johnson, born Sept. 2, 1943, passed away peacefully at her home on April 29, 2010. She courageously battled lung cancer for 14 months. Kay was a very devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed online activities as well as playing a nickel or two with her extended family. She was loved by many and never met a stranger.

Catherine Pollard, died April 27, 2010, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Reno. She is survived by husband Michael, daughter Pam, son Rob, daughter-in-law Anita and grandsons Logan, Garrett and Myles. A Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 2 at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 3 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.

Doris Jean Gravenhorst, 83, of Carson City died April 27, 2010. She was born July 14, 1926, in Baltimore to Carl Allen and Lucille Lee (Cain) Seward. She is survived by her son Gordon E. Gravenhorst, brother Gary Seward and sister Virginia L. Williams, four nieces and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and two nephews. Dec. 29, 1924 - April 27, 2010 Irene D. Danihel passed away in Gardnerville, April 27, 2010. Irene was born on Dec. 29, 1924, in Logansport, Penn. She married Frank A. Danihel on Sept. 18, 1941. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Frank; brothers Eddie and Robert; sisters Lois and Althea.

Herbert Dale Ryburn, 57, formerly of Carson City, died April 21, 2010, in Gardnerville. He was born July 22, 1952, in San Diego, Calif. He is survived by his son Richard Ryburn of Markleeville, Calif.; mother Robbie Curtis and husband William Sr., of San Diego; brothers Kenneth Ryburn and William Curtis Jr., both of San Diego; sister Patricia Blake of San Diego; fiancee Sharon Dodge of Coleville, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. A private family service will be held.

Phyllis Key, age 84, of Silver Springs, Nev., passed away April 22, 2010, in Carson City. Phyllis was born August 17, 1925, Watertown, S.D., one of six children born to Ethan and Ruby (Hale) Sample. Phyllis and her husband of 50 years, Jack (John) Key, started their family in Clear Lake, S.D..Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband and her brothers, Albert, Henry, and Virgil Sample.

November 6, 1912 - March 23, 2010Madeline Cecilia Raimondo peacefully ended her journey on earth and went to be with God on March 23, 2010, at the age of 97. She was born in Chicago, Ill., to John Schoemer and Mary Reiter Schoemer on November 6, 1912. She was raised in Fresno, Calif., and Kerman, Calif., where her mother Mary, who was widowed, ran the Kerman Inn.

Cecelia Sciarrotta passed on April 6,, 2010, in Palo Alto, Calif. Born on September 10, 1952, Cecelia was the loving wife of Chris Sciarrotta of Carson City and loving mother of Alex Sciarrotta of Minden, Vincent Sciarrotta of Reno, and Marcella Gonsalves of Sacramento, Calif.; loving grandmother of Alexis, Giovanni, Guilliano, Vinson, Frankie and Tony Sciarrotta of Minden; and son-in-law Dale Gonsalves of Sacramento.

Steve L. Orlando, 59, died April 16, 2010, in Carson City. He was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Portland, Ore. He is survived by wife Shirley; son Leonard Stossel; daughters Teresa Orlando, Jennifer Carrillo, Albereta Ryan, Pamela Ganger and Kimberly Shellman; and 13 grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.

Janice "Jan" Lee Libbee, 73, died April 20, 2010, at home in Silver Springs. She was born Nov. 28, 1936, in El Paso, Texas, to Leanord and Bernice (Strong) West. She is survived by her husband Lanier L. Libbee; sons Robert, Kevin and Kim; daughter Deborah Ann Hedgcoth; sisters, Myra Jo Irish, Tommie Len Monez and Terrie Lee Holmes; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Charles Edward Hendrickson passed from this life at the age of 78 on April 19, 2010 in Reno, where he had been hospitalized for the last three weeks. Charles was born on Jan. 30, 1932 in Holdrege, Neb., son of Leslie and Caroline Edith (Hoppe) Hendrickson. He had been residing in Gardnerville for the last 12 years with his wife, Minnie.

Born Aug. 11, 1927, Joseph D. Hartman reached the "end of the trail" and ourwonderful journey through life together on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 6:15p.m. He went peacefully in his own home. Joe had a beautiful soul, was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather,great-grandfather, neighbor and friend to all. He will especially be remembered for his unique sense of humor andincredible giving nature.

Kara N. Kramer, 25, died April 15, 2010, in Carson City. She was born July 26, 1984, to Duane and Karen Zimmer in Carson City. Kara is survived by her daughter Oriona Kramer of Dayton; parents Duane and Karen Zimmer of Dayton; aunts and uncles Chris (Kathy) Wolfe, Dave (Lynn) Zimmer, Kurt (Lora) Zimmer and Pete (LeeAnne) Edaburn and grandmother Fae Wahl. A memorial service for Kara will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Walton's Chapels of the Valley. A private family gathering will be held after the service.

Jonell Fordyce died April 10, 2010, in Carson City. She was born Nov. 17, 1971, in Fresno, Calif. Walton's Funerals and Cremations in Gardnerville is in charge of final arrangements.

Donna Lee Conn, 63, died April 14, 2010, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Everett, Wash., to Harrison and Barbara Clyde. She is survived by her husband, Ted Conn; son Jason Conn; and sister Barbara Clyde. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.

Mary E. Arledge died April 19. She was born Aug. 12, 1919, to James and Mary Martin in Dayton, Ohio. She is survived by her daughters Aileen Skippy Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, Vickie Carl of Washoe Valley; son-in-law Bruce Carl; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Lola G. Giacomo, 66, of Silver Springs died April 15, 2010, in Carson City. She was born Jan. 28, 1944, in Sacramento, Calif., to Glen M. and Gladys I. (Lessley) Long.

Verl Anderson, 91, died peacefully at his home in Carson City, April 14, 2010. He was born in Elsinore, Utah, to Chris and Caroline Anderson on Oct. 31, 1918. He was the last of 14 children. Verl married Margaret Crane in 1940. They had three children, Kenny Anderson, deceased, Dennis Anderson, of Carson City and Peggy Anderson Smith of Carson City; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Verl was a loving compassionate man, a true joy to know and be around, he will be greatly missed.

Francisco "Cisco" Melendez, 29, of Carson City died April 5, 2010. He was born June 20, 1980, in Carson City. He is survived by his mother, Shawna Martin; father and stepmother, Geraldo and Valerie Melendez; siblings, Eric, Sara, Diego, Alan, Alicia and Cara; grandparents Gerardo and Nena Menendez, Carol Limasa, Cossette Melendez-Cuellar, and Lyman Andrews; 10 uncles; eight aunts; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Allene "Bambi" Forman, 87, ended her journey on earth, on Monday, April 12 atapproximately 4 a.m., with her loyal caregiver, Dulce, by her side.Allene was born August 20, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John and Ida Conrad. Richard Lee Fleckenstein passed away April 13, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Richard was born August 28, 1951, in Long Beach, Calif., to Betty and James Fleckenstein. He was a long-time resident of Carson City.
