Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting 6 additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. We are also reporting 62 new cases and 81 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 10,182, with 5,429 recoveries and 161 deaths; 4,592 cases remain active.

With these designations, southern Nevadans are facing a mild and dry winter and northern Nevadans are looking at an uncertain forecast. First responders called to Carson City Airport for airplane emergency Friday afternoon

UPDATE 3:19 p.m.: No injuries are reported and responders were released from the scene. Responders on scene stated this was not an aircraft crash but rather a "skid out."
