Reno Tahoe Comedy is proud to present Bobcat Goldthwait at Piper's Opera house in Virginia City on Saturday, April 27. Since his first appearance on the David Letterman Show at the age of 20, Bobcat has gone on to maintain a thriving career as a writer, director, actor, voice actor and stand-up comedian.

Carson Valley Community Theatre is pleased to present The Play that Goes Wrong, produced in collaboration with Douglas High School. As part of our strategic plan, every-other year CVCT collaborates with Douglas High School to allow students the chance to do a major production, on a big stage, with a large audience.

The production of "The Play That Goes Wrong" follows the misadventures of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they prepare for a production. It is a chaotic satire combining country-house murder mysteries and the trials and tribulations of small-scale theater companies and the thespians in these groups.

“Love Loss and What I Wore”, a low key comedy, is coming to Carson Valley Community Theatre (CVCT) opening on September 15 and playing for two weekends.

A cast of five women enrobed in chic black sit on stools and tell funny, wistful and universal memories about their families and loved ones through the prism of their closets.

Rex Meredith, the high energy and musically talented comedian with appearances with Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Ray Charles, The Tonight Show, HBO, Showtime and more, takes the stage at the Carson Nugget Casino's Grand Showroom in Carson City this Saturday, July 22, for shows at 6 and 8 p.m., along with local northern Nevada acts, Howie Nave and Oscar Ovies.

The public is invited to a meet and greet before the show with Meredith, Nave and Ovies in Gina's Good Life Lounge, inside the Carson Nugget, at 5 p.m.

Comedian Ron “Tater Salad” White, who first rose to fame as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon, has long established himself as a star in his own right. White has sold over 14 million albums, been nominated for two Grammys, and has consistently been one of the top grossing stand-up comedians on tour in America. On Saturday, November 26, White is bringing his signature, hilarious storytelling to the Atlantis Grand Ballroom before he retires from stand-up at the end of the year.

The Carson Comedy Club presents a star of Casino Boss, Comedian Kabir Singh, considered one of the fastest rising comedians in the nation and seen in his Comedy Central TV debut on the hit show "Gabriel Iglesias's Stand-Up Revolution."

Students from all four classes recently nominated Carson High School Winterfest candidates for 2021 Winterfest week, Feb. 1-5, where both a King and Queen will be crowned. The theme, Destination Unknown, was decided upon; since students are not allowed to experience the vacations they love, they are bringing their vacation destinations to CHS.

According to Teen Health and Wellness, Rosen Publishing, “Sharing stories is a powerful way to connect with other people. By sharing your own story, you can connect with other teens who are dealing with similar experiences. Your words can provide hope and comfort, or empower them to face their own challenges.”

The Mile High Jazz Band Association presents a jazz-related drive-in movie, “High Society,” on Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20, as part of the 2020 Jazz & Beyond Festival.
