Tuesday, July 21: Things to do in Carson City
Looking for some fun? Swing dance lessons for beginners are at El Charro’s. Line Dance lessons are just around the corner at Carson Lanes if you prefer. Meet author Jack Harpster at the Carson City Library. He’ll have copies of his book ‘Lumber Baron of the Comstock Lode: The Life and Times Duane L. Bliss’ for signing after a power point presentation. Enjoy a night at Living the Good Life; they have just started doing a karaoke night every other Tuesday. Feed your inner artist at Lake Tahoe Brewing Company. Art Bar Reno is hosting a painting party there tonight.

‘That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.’ Lance Armstrong said those words 46 years ago as he took the first steps on the moon. I’d tell you to spend some time moon-gazing tonight, but the clouds may not give you a good glimpse of the little sliver that will be up there. You may want to celebrate Robin Williams’ birthday instead; any of his movies will make for a good rainy day distraction, and don’t forget the popcorn and milk duds. It’s National Junk Food Day.
