Carson Raceway is located at 3777 N. Carson Street next to Ben's Discount Liquors.
Hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

While not illegal or encouraged, the Carson City Sheriff's Office is staffed up to make sure that whoever chooses to do anything non-sanctioned, including independent parading on Carson Street, that whatever they choose to do is done without breaking the law.

According to Ken Hamilton, Executive Director of Nevada Day, the Golf Tournament is making a comeback this year for the first time in over a decade.

He was like many other boys, cute, smart, happy to arrive, however, he was diagnosed with a birth defect, cerebral palsy, and his parents were advised he might not live to see 15. But Glen did live to see 15. He started riding a bike at 15, and 16 and 17. Glen turns 68 on Sunday.

She is preceded in death by sisters Jody Efford and Cathy Jo Buttner, and father Jack Buttner; she leaves behind her mother Geraldine Buttner; brothers Dick Buttner (Debbie), Bob Buttner (Diane), Tony Buttner, and sister Mary Jane Ostrander (Chris).

Carson City deputies arrest three for possession of stolen kayaks which were found damaged and graffitied with swastikas

According to the report, Stephen Henderson, Daryne James Deck and Terrance Dale Shields were arrested after deputies were dispatched to the Carson River Park to meet with the theft victim.

I took my Mom, Christine Reed, recently to see her best friend, Lila Balardi, at the Cedar House care facility on Mountain Street in Carson City. Until recently they were neighbors as well. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the facility has a temporary "no visitor" rule in place.

Error in Carson City COVID-19 test performance leaves local resident in limbo

However, the situation became all that more complicated when the test was administered incorrectly by Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS).
CCHHS admitted to the error, and has rescheduled a second test to be performed today.

It wasn't a large blaze, most of it had actually been confined to the laundry room in the back of the building. But over the next several months while the popular cafe stood empty, it's doors and windows boarded shut, it was determined that the smoke damage to the building was too great to save.
