Wednesday, May 3: Things to do in Carson City
More beautiful weather is on its way. If I seem a little excited about a little bit of sunshine, its because I am, especially after this very long, gray, wet winter. Today we celebrate the Arts in Nevada at the Legislature and salute the painters, potters, makers, sculptors, singers, dancers, actors, writers, poets, and musicians that capture all that is Nevada in their work. Learn something new about Nevada in Dayton this evening with one of two presentations: The Kiwanis welcome Bob Nylen to speak on the Nevada State Museum, and the Dayton Historical Society features old movies from the Dayton area. The Fox Brewpub hosts Whiskey Wednesday in the Fox’ Den with Woodford Reserve as the featured spirit for the day.
