Friday, April 3: Things to do in Carson City
Busy weekend ahead! It’s a wine walk weekend in addition to the Easter festivities, but don't let Friday pass you by. Head to Sassafras tonight to catch the Trippin King Snakes or Living the Good Life for music by Jamie Rollins. If it’s laughs you're after, First Friday Improv at the Brewery Arts Center will have you in stitches or head to the Carson Nugget for comedy night with this week’s funnyman, Huck Flyn.
Head down to the Nevada Day Store and Trading Post today from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. A reception is being held for the Nevada Division of the Pony Express: the Trading Post has become the nation’s first 'active' Pony Express Station. Have your cards and letters officially stamped, meet actor Jack Waggon, Bad Billy Mayfield, and the Naughty Tea Mistresses of Nevada.
You'll want to stay up late tonight, or perhaps get up early Saturday morning, if you want to see the total lunar eclipse, known as a blood moon. The total eclipse is at 5 a.m., but the whole spectacle runs from 2 a.m. until the moon sets at 6:45 a.m. Saturday.
