Wine Walk

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region. The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. Sierra Lutheran High School is also hosting a Christmas craft fair on Saturday. Combined with live music and virtual events, there’s plenty of activity happening in the state capital! The first wine walk since the COVID-19 shutdown took place today in Downtown Carson City, bringing 327 patrons to the popular warm-weather event.

Patrons had their temperature checks upon check in, and masks were required while inside businesses.

According to event hosts, no one had been turned away for a high temperature or cold-like symptoms, but some had been turned away for not purchasing tickets ahead of time, as required.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities over the next three days. The Carson City Wine Walk returns Saturday with COVID-19 restrictions. Virginia City will be filled with spooky events over the month of October with its signature Hauntober event. This Saturday, Oct. 3, the Carson City Wine Walk will be returning to the capital city for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, with new safety rules in place to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

The downtown Carson City wine walk is back this Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online ONLY at www.ccwinewalk.brownpapertickets.com. TICKETS ARE LIMITED. Tickets must be purchased by noon on the day of the event. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD IN PERSON.

Stroll Downtown Carson City and enjoy wine poured from participating businesses. This is a perfect opportunity to experience everything the Downtown has to offer while participating businesses present special deals, entertainment and a variety of wines.

Mask & Costume Contest:

The B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge in Carson City recognizes annually people who have excelled in volunteering their time to help make their respective communities a better place for all. This year the Carson City Elks Lodge has proudly recognized Carol Park as citizen of the year.

Even with the Phase 2 opening set to begin Friday, the Carson City Wine Walk will hold off on their monthly event until at least July.

The monthly Downtown Carson City Wine Walk takes place Saturday followed by a performance from Tom Petty and Rod Stewart tribute bands during The Do Drop In’s “A Face in the Crowd” homeless fundraiser at Fuji Park. St. Teresa School will host its 17th annual Crab Feed Fundraiser. Combined with comedy at the Carson Nugget and Brewery Arts Center, the Carson City region is in store for a busy weekend. Carson City’s newest boutique “Fat Amy’s” opened its doors on the most beautiful wine walk of the year this Saturday.

Offering a selection of unique retro-inspired clothing, make up, purses, home decor and more, Fat Amy’s is located at 318 Carson Street above Battle Born.

Saturday, February 1

Heading into the Super Bowl weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the monthly downtown Carson City wine walk, plus karaoke at Bella Vita Bistro and Y-NOT Saloon. The Forest Service begins its first “Ski With a Ranger” at Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Mountain Resort on Friday. Combined with championship football festivities on Sunday, the Silver State is in store for a wild, good time.

Heading into the weekend it sure will seem like spring around the Carson City region and even up at Lake Tahoe, with ample sunshine and near record high temperatures. By Sunday though, that will change as a strong cold front brings much colder and windier conditions with a possible quick round of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the KTVN Share Your Christmas Food Drive at the Governor's Mansion in Carson City and at Minden's Carson Valley Inn, Homestead Holidays at the Silver Saddle Ranch and more. The Polar Express Train Rides are sold out for the rest of the year, but Santa Train express rides are steaming up at the Nevada State Railroad Museum over the weekend. Read on for details.
