Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Marijuana, alcohol factors in second DUI offense
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Sat, 07/01/2017 - 10:19amA 29 year-old Yerington man was arrested early Saturday morning at 2:08 a.m. in the area of Carson River Road and East Fifth Street for a second driving under the influence (DUI) offense, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said, this one involving a combination of alcohol and marijuana use.

The Ambrose Carson River nature area in on the list for today, so grab some water and sunscreen and enjoy the fresh air. Learn about CASA, and what they do for the children of our valley, during an informal meet-and-greet at San Rafael Coffee. It’s all hands on deck for the Deputy Howell Memorial Music Festival; a meeting for the volunteers is tonight at Battle Born Harley Davidson. Grab your cowboy boots and head out to Carson Lanes for line dance lessons.

The department is taking advantage of the open space available during the summertime and bringing additional sports and programs to the community.
