They could not provide details on whether or not food was contaminated, and stated customers who are concerned should contact the store; however, the store is closed and the phones are not being answered. The Carson City Board of Supervisors on Thursday upheld the decision of the Planning Commission to provide a special use permit regarding a 12-unit apartment complex off Silver Sage and Stafford, against a neighboring appellant who did not want to the project to go forward.
The inaugural Mark Twain Days, a three-day celebration of Samuel Clemens time in Carson City, is happening this Friday through Sunday, April 21-23 in the capital city. A variety of free and ticketed events are planned for the festival.

A 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday morning for violating her bail conditions and driving without a valid license after deputies stopped the car she was driving for being without license plates.
When deputies made contact with the woman, they asked if she had a temporary registration card for the vehicle which she said she did not. She did, however, provide insurance for the vehicle.

In 2019, the graduation rate for Carson High School was at nearly 94.6 percent; however, only two years later in 2021, the rate dropped significantly with only 88.7 percent being awarded their diploma.
