Connal O’Morr Peters Berry, aged 69 of Dayton, Nevada, unexpectedly passed away at his home August 21, 2022. He was born in Williston, Florida on December 17, 1952, to Frank Peters, a US Coast Guard Seaman, and Donna B. Harmon. At about two years of age Connal and elder sister Scheri, were adopted by Raymond A. Berry and Ethel G. Carter of Chiefland, Florida. He was predeceased by all parents and younger sister, Denice Hudson Wade.

Properly restraining a child in a vehicle is just as important after an emergency as it is in case of an emergency.

That’s why staff from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services’ Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program are delivering pediatric restraint systems at no cost to emergency medical service agencies across the state. In March, almost 40 restraint systems were delivered to fire and rescue departments in Northern Nevada and on April 5 another 32 were deployed to rural partners.

Audrey has a hard luck kitty story that needs a happy ending. Just 4 ½ years old, she was pregnant and homeless, living on the streets of Comstock Mobile Home Park. A kind lady was feeding her and offering shelter from the winter storms, but life was not going well for Audrey.

Senior Citizens are invited to participate in a free "Oral History Theater Workshop" at Dayton Library. The performance workshop will be based on Senior Citizen's personal stories from their lives. April is Financial Literacy Month and Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) is offering information and resources for people of all ages and generations to tackle their goals and manage their finances. The investigation will be forwarded to the Carson City District Attorney’s Office. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office thanks the public for the many tips that led to identifying the suspect.

On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at approximately 2:30 pm, a male walking east on William Street near Fall Street accepted a ride from another male in a gray pick-up truck. Once inside the truck, the driver offered the male money.
