COVID-19 vaccination events in Dayton and Silver Springs this Wednesday
This Wednesday, April 19, COVID vaccines will be available from Nevada Health Centers in Dayton and Silver Springs. Primary doses and Bivalent Boosters are available. There is no cost for the vaccines.
Families with children (up to age 18) who receive a vaccination will receive one free digital thermometer while supplies last. Adults receiving a COVID vaccination at the event will receive a $30 gift card, while supplies last.
Primary doses are available for ages 6 months through 5 years old. Booster doses are available to eligible individuals 6 years and older.
What to bring: People should bring a copy of any previous COVID-19 vaccination cards if available, and a copy of a government-issued photo ID (if available).
About the vaccine: Nevada Health Centers uses the Moderna mRNA vaccine. Two does of the vaccine are required that are known as the Primary Dose: an initial dose, and a second dose approximately 28 days later. If you receive the Moderna vaccine as your first dose, an appointment for your second dose will be scheduled at the time you receive your first dose of the vaccine. Currently, Nevada Health Centers is no longer providing Primary Dose immunizations for any person older than 6 years. The Moderna Bivalent Booster is available to those 6 years and older.

In Dayton, COVID-19 vaccines will be available from NVHC on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 10am-noon at the Dayton Food Pantry at 209 Dayton Valley Road, Dayton, NV 89403.
In Silver Springs, COVID-19 vaccines will be available from NVHC on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 1pm-3pm at the Silver Stage Food Pantry at 1290 Lahontan Street, Silver Springs, Nevada 89429.
