Free educator workshop happening April 29 at Adam's Hub in Carson City
The Mindful SEAD is hosting free workshops in Northern Nevada for area school educators and support staff on Saturday, April 29. The Mindful SEAD (social-emotional academic development) is a non-profit organization providing educators with tools and strategies to support their well-being.
They are funded in part by Title II-A Educator Development grants. The Mindful SEAD is honored to serve the needs of educators across the state. Mindful SEAD inspires innovative teaching and learning through mindful practices by fostering community, personalized learning, developing leadership and embracing each individual’s unique genius. As a not-for-profit organization the mission is to teach youth and adults to become mindful as they manage their emotions, gain perspective and understand those around them.
The Mindful SEAD programs are leadership development, teacher focus learning, partnership for a SEAD endorsement, and SEAD Leadership Summit (two days of high-quality virtual sessions presented by some of the nation’s top SEL leaders coming June 20-21, 2023).
The Mindful SEAD is hosting a free workshop for educators on April 29 from 9-11 a.m. in Carson City at Adam's Hub, 111 Proctor Street, Carson City, Nevada and 2-4 p.m. at Churchill County Middle School, 650 S. Maine St., Fallon, Nevada.
