CARSON CITY — The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development approved four companies that will receive $4,922,336 in tax abatements. In return, these companies are projected to create 85 jobs in the next two years at an average weighted hourly wage of $28.89. That figure is expected to grow to 134 in five years.

Middle school wrestlers from northern Nevada gathered at Pershing County High School in Lovelock Saturday, March 25, for the 2023 Tah-Nevada Middle School Wrestling Championship Tournament. In total, there were 261 wrestlers representing 17 schools, from White Pine County to Truckee, Calif. Carson Middle School and Eagle Valley Middle School sent 10 and 14 wrestlers respectively, representing Carson City Schools.

Nevada law clearly states that any use of a handheld electronic device — cell phone, mp3 player, GPS device, etc. — while driving is illegal. CARSON CITY — The Public Health Emergency declared during the COVID-19 pandemic came to an end on March 31, 2023, which means current Medicaid enrollees will no longer be automatically renewed for benefits. Suspects are potentially in a black Nissan or a white Honda sedan. Both vehicles have California license plates.

The Nevada Dental Association is proud to announce it has reached over 100 member dentists volunteering for the Adopt-A-Vet Dental Program. The Adopt-A-Vet Dental Program recruits Nevada dentists and specialists in local communities to provide services to veterans in-need free-of-charge. Since 2010, Adopt-A-Vet Dental Program’s volunteer dentists have provided dental care to more than 1,500 veterans totaling more than eight-million dollars in donated treatment.

Finally, a sunny day! At least somewhat; wine walkers took to the streets Saturday for the April Wine Walk in Carson City. With temperatures in the mid-50s, the occasional cloud won’t ruin their day.
