Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada to host free COVID-19 testing to reach Native community
RENO, Nev. — The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada’s goal is to provide an opportunity for urban Indian populations to receive testing.
ITCN will be holding a COVID-19 community-based testing event. This event is open to all urban Indians, and the general public. This event will also create opportunities for tests to be provided for surrounding community members.
“The tests are fairly quick and easy. It’s important to be knowledgeable about your individual ability to spread the virus,” says Deserea Quintana, ITCN’s Executive Director. “Whether you have symptoms or not experiencing any symptoms, being tested can help protect yourself and those around you.”
The event will be held over a two-day period at 680 Greenbrae Dr. Sparks, Nev.
— Friday, July 17, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
— Saturday, July 18, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
ITCN would like to remind everyone to wear a mask and maintain 6-feet of social distancing. If you are experiencing symptoms, please seek immediate medical attention.
