She has served in that position since her appointment by Governor Steve Sisolak on September 1, 2019. As a member of the governor's cabinet, Montooth serves as the administration's liaison with the 27 Nevada tribes, bands, colonies, and 62,000 urban Indians who have chosen Nevada as their second home.

Dr. Cosgrove, who is a professor of history at the College of Southern Nevada, will be presenting from Las Vegas via Zoom. She will provide an overview of the process by which Nevada's electoral districts will be redrawn by a special session of the legislature in line with the data produced by the 2020 census, and the ways in which the proposed districts will be rated for how well they conform to established standards of fairness.

Record number of Bald Eagles spotted during 2021 annual Tahoe count
