Carson High School Debate Wraps up Regular Season with 11 Debaters in Final Rounds

The final regular season tournament saw 14 schools and 203 competitors, with 11 CHS debaters advancing into final rounds over the two-day event.

Carson City Elks Lodge raises more than $9,000 for Night Off The Streets warming shelter
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Wed, 02/08/2023 - 9:03amOn Jan. 27 Carson City Elks Lodge No. 2177 hosted a fundraiser for Night Off The Streets, Inc. warming shelter. Ticket sales and all proceeds from the silent auction and raffle garnered $7,411 from this worthwhile event.
This was augmented by a Community Investment Program (CIP) grant from the State and National Elks Foundation of $1,548. A local Elk donated an additional $52 to round the grant up to an even $1,600 check as shown in the picture. Total raised was $9,011.
