Carson City Humane Society's Pet of the Week: Sasha
Happy Wednesday, Carson City. It's going to be a beautiful day, and I know a way to make it even nicer: A brand new friend!
Carson City’s Pet of the Week is none other than Sasha, a 13-year-old Chow-Chow mixed breed.
Sasha is a sweet senior dog who currently needs a home with adults only. She loves when people slowly pet the sides of her head and offer chin scratches too.
Sasha was a graduate of our Pups and Pals Program and likes to dig, go on walks and nap.
Here’s what Sasha has to say about herself and life in the shelter:
“I put my heart and soul into all I do. Spending time with the people I like means the world to me and I would consider myself to be young at heart. So don’t let my age fool you, come and visit me today. The shelter life isn't cutting it for this older gal!”
Itching to get outside this weekend? We’re hosting Trails and Tails at Riverview Park on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 am to 2 pm with our friends at Carson City Parks and Rec. Sasha and some of her shelter friends will be available there, too! Go here for more information on Trails and Tails.
You can meet Sasha by visiting the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road in Carson City, or by calling (775) 887-2171 to find out more.
