Women Play a Key Role in Construction of Carson City Place of Worship

With her hard hat in hand, Bethany Marcias-Cabada leaves behind her nine-to-five office workweek and heads to the Las Vegas airport. She’s on her way to install low-voltage audio/video pre-wiring in Carson City, Nevada.
Marcias-Cabada volunteered during a snowy week in January on the construction site for a new Kingdom Hall where congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses will meet in Carson City.

Carson City Rotarians to learn about Lake Tahoe Research

The UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) plays a critical role in preserving Lake Tahoe’s beauty and clarity. Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City and the public can learn about the center’s ongoing research at the club’s next meeting.

TERC Education and Outreach Director Heather Segale will be the guest speaker at the March 21st meeting, which takes place at noon in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom.

Donate to Carson City Firefighters‘ annual St. Baldrick’s event to raise money for childhood cancer research

Each year on St. Patrick’s Day, the Carson City Fire Department raises funds for childhood cancer research with the St. Baldrick’s event at McFadden Plaza.

Bespoke Salon co-sponsored the event and provided shaves to all participants.

Carson City Adele's Chef Charlie Abowd launches book, 'Recipes and Rambles'
