Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series returns with 2017 summer concert series

The Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series elevated the Brewery Arts Center’s existing summer concert series, filling the Minnesota Street Stage with free, live music and transforming an underused street in the heart of downtown Carson City’s Historic District into a vibrant gathering place for the surrounding community.

The concert series will return again for 2017, according to Gina Lopez Hill, executive director of the Brewery Arts Center, which was responsible for last year's and this year's proposal to bring the concert series to Carson City and getting Carson City residents to vote for the capital city's chances online.

Wild Horse Children's Theater to hold auditions for 'Annie, Jr.'

Wild Horse Children’s Theater will be holding auditions for the musical “Annie, Junior!” Auditions for this production, ages 5-15, will be held at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall on Thursday, January 12 from 4-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 14 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Callbacks are Saturday, January 14th, after auditions. Auditions are by appointment only! You must call for an audition slot.

Doors will open at 11:30 AM and the first game will start at 12:30. Buy-in is $10 and extra packets are $5. All other games are $1. The snack bar will be open offering hot dogs, chips and candy. Sometimes the wonderful CASI volunteers will bring soup.

Nevada Northern Railway’s Fireworks Express a Pyrotechnic Display Unlike Any Other

This annual train is generally a sell-out and offers 'front row' seats to the fireworks that are shot off of the back of the moving train.
