Reno artist’s work featured in Carson City at Nevada Legislature’s LXS Gallery

Containing traces of nostalgia and melancholy, her work focuses on themes of childhood, nature, stories, allegory and dreams.
Native art exhibit opens with reception at Carson City Visitors Bureau

Art exhibit 'From the Ground Up' opens at Carson City Courthouse

The exhibit, presented by the Capital City Arts Initiative, will be on display until May 24. Martin creates his own paint from natural earth pigments he digs up.

Western Nevada College, Capital City Art Initiative to showcase 'Art from WNC'

Twenty-one student artists from Western Nevada College are represented in the exhibit that is open to the public at no cost from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 1 through March 30.
ART from WNC includes a cache of creativity, including graphic design, drawing, photography and book art pieces that show the diversity of the students’ imagination.
Mountain Picassos: Basque Arborglyphs of the Great Basin

“Mountain Picassos: Basque Arborglyphs of the Great Basin” is part of the Nevada Touring Initiative’s Traveling Exhibition Program and will be on display at WNC’s Carson City campus from Monday, Feb. 13 through Friday, April 7.
It provides a rare opportunity to see some of the intimate personal images inscribed by Basque sheepherders in the aspen groves of the Great Basin during the first half of the 20th century.
