Family Fun this Saturday at the Nevada State Museum
Make a pine needle angel to decorate your holiday tree and craft a holiday wreath out of cones this Saturday at the Nevada State Museum in Carson City.
Learn how to tell a pine from a fir or spruce by looking at their cones and needles. Discover one of our state trees, the Pinyon Pine. Find out what kinds of animals eat pine nuts and how American Indians gathered, stored, and processed nuts for food.
No reservations needed; take your time and enjoy a variety of activities in both art and science. All ages welcome. No additional materials fee. The program runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Nevada State Museum is located at 600 North Carson Street, Carson City, Nev.
