This event will be a barbecue and a speaking engagement. We will have good food and music. It is Saturday, July 20.
The event will be held at the Firefighters Memorial on the East side of Mills Park. Entrance is just off of Saliman Rd across from the high school. We are asking for an RSVP which you can do by following the link to the facebook event at the bottom.
Doors open at 11:30AM and the event will start at noon.

Carson City BMX Race for Life set for July 21

This race raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Additionally, keeping with Todd’s love for BMX, promoting this race where you do not have to be a USABMX member. So please join us on 21 July, with signups 9 to 10 a.m.. Cost is $10. If under 18, please bring a parent to sign forms.
Carson City Student-Owned-and-Run 'Rehaul' is a showcase in applied entrepreneurial lessons

One such student is Paul Klemm, the owner of Carson City’s Rehaul.
“Rehaul started as an effort to develop a student run business,” said Glass.

Please join Muscle Powered as we hike the Discovery Trail at Davis Creek Regional Park located off of old highway 395 near Bowers Mansion. 25 Davis Creek Road, Washoe Valley, NV. On this hike, we will explore the transition zone between the high desert and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. See first hand the changes in the ecology that surrounds us as we move between the Great Basin and the Sierras. Restrooms are available.
Hike distance will be approximately 2 miles, depending on trail condition.

Capitol City Poker Run bicycle ride to benefit Muscle Powered

All proceeds benefit Muscle Powered. Best Poker hand at the end of the ride will win a bike from the Bike Smith. Raffle prizes and Grand Prize to be announced at Silver Strike CrossFit where a good truck will also be present.

Every year, Rovers, Spots and Fidos across the city howl at the indecency of the human-beloved summer holiday.

The Wungnema House is the charming stone cottage located on the east side of Mills Park across from Carson High. It was built by a family of skilled Hopi stonemasons shortly after WWII and served as the family’s home until the early 1970s.

We met near the Humane Society on Airport and then walked along the Carson Freeway Multi-Use two thirds of mile to access the wetlands area.
