Just about two years ago, the Bulldog Cyber Cafe quietly opened its doors in the Grocery Outlet shopping center beside Bulldog PC Repair. However, they quickly outgrew their space, and three months ago, the new Bulldog Cyber Cafe opened its doors at 251 Jeanelle Street in Carson City.

Heading into Tuesday Aug. 6, which means the safest family celebration of the year at the 17th annual Carson City National Night Out. This is an event like no other, where agencies who work in areas of public health and safety gather at Mills Park to meet with Carson City residents. This event features 3 hours of information booths, games, demonstrations, food and fun. Also happening Tuesday is a free robotics mini-camp for kids in nearby Silver City, Reciprocity Inc. will host a fundraiser at Rustically Divine, there's the Culinary Traveler’s Club's Polynesian Paradise featured at Bleu Café; the Carson City Classic Cinema Club will feature a Sci-Fi favorite at the BAC, plus fitness outings and more. There will be an Acrylic Pour Jewelry Making Class on Wednesday, August 7, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m at Rustically Divine in Carson City.

Create modern-abstract fluid effects with acrylic pouring in three separate pendants, one silver chain included. “Anyone can do this!” says Dana Childs, who will teach the class.

The fee is $45 and includes supplies.

Note: pourings will need to be left overnight to cure, and be assembled, please plan to pick up artwork as soon as possible.

For summer’s most visible meteor showers, join the Carson City Parks, Rec and Open Space Department at Western Nevada College’s Jack C. Davis Observatory for some late night, educational fun. No pre-registration necessary. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring water for night hiking from the Observatory. Head lamps and flashlights are allowed. Heading into Monday, July 29, 2019 and we're wondering how the month went by so quickly. Again we're looking at a fairly typical end of July day weather wise, with sunny skies and a high around 94. Stop by the east side of Mills Park today, July 28th, ride the Carson City and Mills Park Railroad, and then come by the Wungnema House for the Carson City Parks Foundation’s monthly open house, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. There is no admission fee for the open house, and all are welcome.

The Fox Brewpub will be hosting a “Pint for Pint” blood drive with Vitalant on Aug. 1 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the blood mobile.
