Wheeled Food Wednesday takes place on the BAC campus parking lot, 511 West King Street from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
V&T Railway holds auditions for 2019 Polar Express at Carson City Eastgate Depot
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 08/26/2019 - 5:20pmCARSON CITY — V&T Railway will hold auditions for the 2019 Polar Express season on Thursday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 6 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 7 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Eastgate Depot in Carson City. The railway is looking for actors, actresses and singers, age 13 and up to play roles from the popular movie including stewards and conductors, elves and Santa Claus.

V&T Railway celebrates 150 years with anniversary trains running Fridays through Oct. 11

Beginning Friday, Aug. 16, the Carson City to Virginia City train will feature re-enactments at the depot and during the 24-mile round-trip ride.

"Turn it Up” is a coming of age comedy about six guys from small town anywhere chasing the dreams of rock stardom. Through sheer tenacity and blatant exaggeration, their band Attitude Problem is offered the headlining slot for a day long music festival called, "Can Jam."
