Keep tradition alive with a donation to historic Virginia City’s fireworks show
Show your support for Virginia City, Nev., by making a patriotic monetary donation to its world-class July Fourth Fireworks Show. Launching from the Silverland Inn & Suites located on E Street and sitting at 6,200 feet, it promises to be one of the region’s longest displays with visibility from nearly anywhere in town.
The Wednesday, July 4, Virginia City Fourth of July Celebration starts at noon with the Fourth of July Parade and continues throughout the day until the fireworks display after dark. Funds raised go directly towards the Comstock’s display to ensure an authentic, home-town Independence Day experience. Click here to donate online now.
“We hope to rally the community and make this year’s show the best one yet,” said Deny Dotson, tourism director for the Virginia City Tourism Commission. “The residents and visitors of Virginia City deserve a spectacular fireworks show to go along with the rest of the day’s festivities and donations are needed now more than ever.”
The Virginia City Fourth of July Celebration also includes a Fourth of July Parade, a raffle and auction, David John and the Comstock Cowboys’ Second Amendment Concert, an old-west shoot-out and plenty of food and beverage vendors. Throughout the day, visitors can stroll the boardwalk, sample sweets, browse the shops and ride the V&T Railroad. For a full schedule of events, click here.
