Wednesday, June 14: Things to do in Carson City
The Pony Express rides again. Actually, the re-ride is an annual occurrence, and always comes right through the heart of Carson City. See the mochila hand-off at the corner of Second and Curry Streets today around 12:30 p.m. (but can be up to three hours early or late) and you can follow its historic route online HERE. The Nevada National Guard celebrates Flag Day and the Army’s anniversary on the Capitol Grounds at 10:00 a.m. Head over to the Black Bear Diner inside the Max Casino for a special Tip-A-Cop fundraiser for the Special Olympics. You’ll find local Law Enforcement Officers participating during lunch and dinner.
