Northern Nevada Veteran Honor Guard shuttle bus in need of repairs, GoFundMe established

December 1, 2017 (All day) The Northern Nevada Honor Guard's shuttle bus requires essential repairs and we are seeking the public's help. The members of this unit are all veterans and part of the American Legion High Desert Post 56, Carson City. The unit provides, on average, 50-plus funerals and memorial services each year, is non-profit and all services are provided at no cost.
Our current transportation to and from most of these events, is a shuttle bus, that currently has over 170,000 miles with broken windows, peeling decals, leaks when it rains, just as an example.
The bus is a 2002 model and now requires immediate major engine repair or replacement.
A “used” replacement bus would cost in excess of $50,000. Therefore we are seeking $15,000 to complete the needed repairs, as soon as possible. Every donation, large or small will help us reach our goal.
