The Alzheimer's Association Support Group offers the following support group meetings in Carson City and Minden this month:

CARSON CITY — The military support organization Work for Warriors Nevada is set to host a no-cost, virtual job fair on Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The fair will be online.

Join us for a monthly diabetes support group virtually and/or in person, at the Health & Wellness Institute (1470 Medical PKWY, Suite 250). Each month will feature a different topic. Support group classes are led by Bridget Wood, RD, LD, and or Stefanie Bischoff, BSN, RN

When: September 10th from 3 - 4 PM

Sunday will bring cool temperatures and some sunshine with daytime highs in the mid 60s around the capital city region. Lined up today are fall train rides in Carson City and Virginia City, a women veteran's support group meeting, and a a discussion with survivors, family and doctors about metastatic breast cancer. Events include the 100th annual Candy Dance in Genoa, the Carson City Community Center Garage Sale, free walks at Nevada State Parks, Virginia City’s Street Vibrations Fall Rally, the 31st annual All-Breed Dog Shows, The Beatles Flashback tribute band concert and much more!

These are the ways Advocates to End Domestic Violence has been helping Carson City over the last four decades. This year, Advocates is celebrating its 40th year anniversary, and our community is better because of it.

One of the great things about our high desert climate is is how quickly conditions can change.
