Strength plus conditioning equals ready for winter
Well Being (Massage and Functional Fitness) is now accepting enrollees in its Winter Sport and Activity Conditioning Program.
Avoid injury and improve your strength and fitness for on and off the slopes. All winter sport enthusiasts in the area are invited to participate.
The program starts Monday, Oct. 17, 2016.
Receive personalized training and guidance at very affordable pricing: Approximately $15 per 50 minute session.
Group size will be kept at six participants per instructor, and the class can accommodate mixed experience levels. There will be modifications available to beginners, as well as more advanced moves for intermediate and advanced levels.
There are convenient time slots for everyone with early and mid morning as well as evening options.
The eight-week, 24-session program, which runs through the Fall, is designed for men and women of all ages looking for a challenge, and an opportunity to take their fitness to the next level.
Training session will also prepare those shoveling, trekking, and/or shushing through the snow to be able to participate at a higher, safer level.
“I’ve designed a winter sport and activity conditioning program for our greater Carson City area residents that will give them a challenge while offering a comfortable and supportive atmosphere,” said Well Being owner Brad Paula, who is a certified ski instructor/trainer and a personal trainer. “It’s been shown that people who prepare their bodies through conditioning programs for the rigors of winter sports and activities tend to perform better and have reduced chronic pain and/or injury associated with those sports and/or activities.
“I make sure the exercises are fun, as well as challenging to ensure satisfying results for the participants,” he said.
Well Being (Massage and Functional Fitness) offers personal training, a variety of fitness classes and therapeutic massage in a private gym, located at 195 E. Winnie Lane, inside Fitness for Life.
Class space for the upcoming series is limited. Please contact Brad Paula at (530) 368-1226, or visit www.carsoncityfitness.com for more information or to register.
