Carson City arrests: Man flushing items in casino toilet booked for multiple felony offenses

Two Mono County, Calif., residents were arrested Monday for suspected felony and misdemeanor offenses. Of the two, one was booked for suspicion four counts of being in possession of credit cards without the owner's consent, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office report.

Carson City emergency crews called to brush fire that spread into Winnie Lane apartments

UPDATE 8:10PM: Five apartment units were damaged and six people have been displaced due to the fire at 410 West Winnie Lane, according to Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Micah Horton. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Due to COVID-19, blood drives have been cancelled, and there is a need for individual donations from all blood types now more than ever, according to Vitalant, the blood donation collection service that has a location on Winnie Lane in Carson City.

Carson City Deputies arrested a man Thursday afternoon in the area of W. Washington Street and N. Curry Street for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly tried to steal car keys from a woman and pulled a knife on her husband.

NV Energy reports power outages late Tuesday morning affecting nearly 300 customers around Carson City. An outage was reported in the West Winnie Lane area around at around 10:35 p.m. affecting 271 customers. At around the time of the outage Carson City dispatch reported that a tree limb was down in the area.

Carson City deputies make DUI, felony and misdemeanor warrant arrests

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday in the area of West Winnie Lane and North Division for suspicion of DUI and speeding, a sheriff's deputy report said.

Suspect who stole purse, credit cards from car at daycare center sought by Carson City detectives

UPDATE: A credible tip surfaced Thursday afternoon regarding the suspect vehicle, a sheriff's office detective said. The vehicle is a tan or beige 2010-2012 Mercedes SUV, with dark tinted windows. The vehicle was without a front license plate and its back plate is possibly California. The vehicle circled the daycare parking lot multiple times, where the suspect then is believed to have parked across the street before entering the victim's vehicle.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office Investigations Division is asking for the public's help in identifying a male suspect wanted in connection to the theft of a purse, credit cards and phone that happened Thursday morning at an East John Street child care center.

Carson City's Bleu Cafe reopens restaurant, bar for lunch following public outcry

Carson City's Bleu Cafe closed their restaurant doors in November to focus on catering and parties, but after months of public outcry from Bleu Cafe enthusiasts, Chef Roberta Davies has opened the restaurant and bar for lunch, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The restaurant is popular for their menu that touts cooking "the old fashioned way," with every item made from scratch using real ingredients. When it closed, the public let Davies know just how upset they were.
