Symphony Youth Chorus for Ages 4 to 12 to begin Fall Session on Tuesday, Aug. 29

Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, August 29, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., upstairs at the First United Methodist Church, 412 W. Musser Street in Carson City. Tuition is free.
Brewery Arts Center's brick facade renovation is complete, additional damages found lead to additional cost

Many thanks are owed to State of Nevada Commission for Cultural Centers and Historic Preservation who provided $302,000 in funding (which was based on the original quote).
Heritage Days returns to Virginia Truckee Railroad Labor Day Weekend

There will be a battle recreation each day at 11:20am, plus a Champagne Battle Train Saturday evening at 7pm and a special 3pm battle train on Sunday.

We get together to visit about our beloved vehicles, to pass on good/bad experiences with mechanics, upholsterers, electrical people, what cruises, shows are coming up.

Nevada Women's Fund Awards FISH with Annual Community Grant

This grant award will be devoted to the FISH Student Housing project and help alleviate the housing costs for women living within. This way, the women can focus on their higher education without the burden of housing costs which will empower their learning potential, uplift families out of generational poverty, and strengthen the community. This is a major recognition for FISH with Nevada Women's Fund's support of this first-of-its-kind Nevada pilot program.
