Have you met Wu? She has been in the Carson Shelter since early March and is ready to find her home. Wu was surrendered due to financial hardship from her previous owners, so she is in the shelter due to no fault of her own.

The 34th Annual Dayton Valley Days will be held on September 16-17, 2023 and at Wednesday's (6/21/23) Room Tax Board meeting in Yerington, the Board awarded the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce $7,725 for advertising and promotional funds for the event.

AmeriCorps is a national program that connects individuals and organizations to help communities tackle challenges. Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties is currently recruiting for part time and full time AmeriCorps members to work up to 12-month service terms teaching financial literacy to children, teens and adults.

Catmandu will be closed from June 19 to July 27, 2023 for a facility makeover. Almost a decade of helping cats has finally caught up with us. The facility is desperately in need of maintenance, repairs and some necessary improvements. We just can’t put them off any longer.

The Greenhouse Project will once again be hosting their 14th Annual “Grateful Harvest Dinner: Food and Music with Soul & Joyful Giving with a Goal” at Nashville Social Club on September 18th at 5 PM in Carson City, NV.

Join the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City every Wednesday throughout the summer for "Blacktop Buffet" which is an assortment of food trucks every Wednesday.

The Carson City Library kicked off their annual reading challenge Saturday with the theme of “All around the World.”

The fun continues until 4 PM.
