Sheriff’s Night Out returns Tuesday for 20th year in Carson City

The event, this Tuesday, August 1, is a way for the community to interact not only with its sheriff’s department, but firefighters, paramedics, park rangers, the National Guard, and many more organizations who come together to provide a free, family-fun event to the community.

Murals and Music Festival comes to Carson City this Fall

Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City, as well as the public, can learn more about the event at the next club meeting on Aug. 2.
Nevada Humane Society, Carson City's Pet of the Week: Blush

Blush is around 6 years old and has been at the shelter since late May, and shelter staff don’t know how this sweet girl hasn’t been adopted yet.

The Sheridan Station is a volunteer fire station, manned by a portion of more than 30 volunteer firefighters who are scattered throughout the East Fork district. The Sheridan station has been in operation by volunteers since the 1940s.

This training event allows motorcycle officers, civilians, and retired military members from Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah, Washington and some places in Canada, to come together, learn new techniques and learn new safety skills.
