Douglas County 4-H Call to Action, annual 4-H night to take place Oct. 10 in Gardnerville
It is that time of year when we start signing our kids up for new sports, after school activities, clubs and more! But it is also time to start thinking about signing up for Douglas County 4-H.
So please mark your calendars for our Annual Douglas County 4-H Information Night on Tuesday, October 10 at 5:30-6:30 at the Douglas County Community Center.
We are excited to showcase our current clubs to new and existing families, as well as open the doors of possibilities to start new clubs with the talents and volunteerism of Douglas County residents.
We are looking for new 4-H Club Leaders for the Hiking Club and Bee and Pollinator Club. We are also hopeful to acquire new leaders to start new 4-H clubs.
They can be based on anything, from robotics to Legos to reptiles and pocket pets. Whatever your passion might be that you would like to share with the youth of our county, we would love to have you join us as a 4-H Volunteer, to Make the Best Better!
Please contact Tara Ansotegui with any questions you may have at Tansotegui@unr.edu. We are looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces in October at Information Night.
