Carson Tahoe Health Foundation adds 'Text-to-Donate' giving option ahead of HopeFest9
CARSON CITY — The Foundation at Carson Tahoe Health, which provides housing for cancer patients in need, has announced a new opportunity for interested donors to support initiatives and give with a new “Text-to-Donate” option.
With this new feature, anyone with a cell phone can simply text “HopeFest” to 44321. A link to a secure donation page will be sent back to the supporter via text. Standard text message rates may apply, and vary by carrier.
“Our work for the Cancer Resource Center here at the hospital, our Merriner Cottages and more would not be possible without the generous donations and support from our community,” said Kitty McKay, CTH Foundation Director. “We’re hopeful that this new donation option will make it easier, faster and even more convenient to help us spread hope and improve the lives of those we serve every day.”
This new technology-focused giving option launches at an opportune time too, with the Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, HopeFest9, coming up on August 23. The free summer evening concert will be headlined by Eric Hutchinson, the international platinum-selling singer-songwriter, who captures his audience with his lively music set.
“At nearly a decade old, HopeFest is a beloved community event, and always a great time for an even greater cause,” McKay added. “But, if for any reason you can’t make it to our free outdoor concert and fundraiser, this new Text-to-Donate feature still allows you to support the cause!”
Donations of all amounts are welcome, and supporters can Text-to-Donate all year long following the same instructions. This new feature is powered by Give Lively, a trusted platform among non-profits nationwide, allowing for secure, seamless electronic giving.
