Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Minden Rotary Club's "Giving Cup" Golf Tournament fundraiser to be held on May 18, 2024, at Genoa Lakes Golf Course, and continues our commitment to at-risk youth in the Carson Valley.

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be KNVC General Manager Steve Funk. He will tell the story of Carson's community radio station from its humble beginnings in 2017 to today's diverse programmings that includes talk shows, news programs, serial dramas, and music genres that run the gamut from Rock, Pop, Blues and Jazz to Celtic, Retro, and Psychedelic.

The 10th annual Carson City Kiwanis Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day will be held at the beautiful Silver Oak Golf Course, Sunday, Sept. 10 at 9 a.m. It is a 4-person scramble and there are numerous divisions.

Join us as we "step back" to the 1860’s -1890’s — a time of invention and innovation as we explore the marvels of technology and many ‘firsts’ that sprung up from the Comstock mining.

Kids & Horses is excited to be hosting our 10th annual fundraiser golf tournament at the beautiful Incline Village Championship Course on June 5th. This is our largest fundraiser event of the year, and all proceeds go directly towards keeping our programs and facilities open for our community.

Local medical student Alyssa Woodward will host the 4th Annual Suicide Awareness Race this Saturday, May 6. This will be held at McFadden Plaza in Carson City. Registration is available online, the evening before and race morning.

Turn small steps into bold strides toward a world without lung disease by walking in this year’s annual American Lung Association LUNG FORCE Walk to support the organization’s life-saving work in Nevada. The event takes place on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Idlewild Park, 1900 Idlewild Dr., Reno.

Participants can walk or run the route. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. with the walk/run starting at 8:30 a.m.

Soroptimist International of Carson City is proud to host Luna Fest a screening of wonderful short films by and about women. The live event will take place on May 11 at the Brewery Arts Performance Center at 6pm.

Come help the Carson Victory Rollers fundraise to help get to the C-Squads Tournament in Angels Camp, Calif. We will be serving chili, cornbread, and chili dogs. $25 for a meal, one soft drink, and one raffle ticket.

$10 for kids 12 and under equals a meal and soft drink. Additional tickets may be purchased at the event as well. We’ll have lots of prizes to win and lots of junk to sort through. Find some treasures to take home, have some chili, and help your favorite local roller derby team achieve a goal they’ve been working so hard for!

The Carson City Sheriff's Office Youth Cadet program will be hosting its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser, this Saturday, Oct. 8th from 8 a.m. to noon at the Sheriffs Office; 911 East Musser Street.

We’ll be accepting donations for Johnny Seaver of Hard Knox tattoos who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The funds will go to help Johnny and his family pay for medical care. In honor of Betty White, known for her animal activism and advocacy, Catmandu, a no-kill, cage-free cat rescue and sanctuary in Carson City is holding a Giving Grid fundraising drive in her name.
