Mark Twain Elementary is hosting their annual Color Run at Mills Park, just make sure to wear a white shirt.

Camping season is upon us, and the weather is getting nice. It's that time of year when people like to get out and have a good time in the great outdoors camping, four-wheeling, hiking etc. It's fun to enjoy our open spaces.
Just remember, it's important to be responsible while we're all living it up outside.

While the heavy rain weather forecasters anticipated over the weekend failed to arrive, windy conditions did and will arrive again Tuesday ahead of a storm system that extends into Wednesday and Thursday that may bring some light rain and possible snow showers to the Carson City and Sierra regions.

Okay. This is one of the hardest weekend lists I’ve ever had to do. This dump of snow has cancelled some events, but others are in full force. Best I can tell, St. Patrick’s Day parties are not deterred by a little snowfall. There will be no parade in Virginia City, but the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fest is on. Head to downtown Carson for more green beer, Irish music, and corned beef and cabbage than you’ll know what to do with.

Trash Mobs are of 1 hour duration. We provide bags, gloves and pick up sticks. Please wear closed toed shoes and long sleeves and pants are recommended.

We will be clearing the Fulstone Wetlands the Multi-Use Path north from the Boys & Girls Club and (hopefully) the NDOT Right of Way between the fence and the sound wall. If you have rubber boots and want to focus on the wetlands please bring them.
