Carson City arrests: Pair jailed for disorderly conduct
A 63-year-old and a 58-year-old transient woman were arrested Saturday at 5:52 a.m. in the 3100 block of S. Carson Street for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the deputy immediately recognized the two, having had multiple contacts with both subjects in the last two weeks.
“On all occasions the subjects have been heavily intoxicated,” the deputy said. “The Carson City paramedics have been dealing with these subjects almost on a daily basis and have been transporting them to Carson Tahoe Hospital for intoxication/unknown claimed medical issues."
Upon contact with the suspects, they both were laying in front of a closed business.
Scattered around was trash, blankets and multiple bottles containing an alcoholic beverage, the report said.
Both suspects provided a preliminary breath test. The 63-year-old registered 0.308 percent BAC and the 58-year-old recorded 0.156 percent.
Due to the recent contacts and problems with the two subjects, the deputy placed them under arrest for disorderly conduct, the report said. Bail: $242 each.

— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday at 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Fairview Drive and South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence, expired registration and open container, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
A Sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop for expired registration, the arrest report said. Upon contact, an odor of an alcohol was coming from the suspect and an open beer container was in the center console, the deputy said.
The deputy asked the suspect to step out of the vehicle to speak with him further. The suspect was unsteady on his feet, had an odor of alcohol on his breath, and had red watery eyes, the arrest report said.
The suspect showed impairment during standard field sobriety tests, and provided a voluntary preliminary breath test which yielded a result of 0.140 percent BAC. Total bail: $2,821.
— A 40-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday at 1:12 a.m. in the 3600 block of S. Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
A Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of a highly intoxicated driver leaving a bar.
When on scene, the deputy approached the suspect — still in the parking lot. The suspect stated she was helping some people she had just met at the bar by allowing them to hold on to her truck, as she backed up through the ice covered parking lot, the arrest report said.
The deputy asked the suspect if she had been drinking and she replied, “Yes.” When asked about how much, she became verbally argumentative and stated she was just trying to help people, the report said.
According to the arrest report, the suspect had bloodshot, red watery eyes, and due to witnesses identifying her as being under actual control of the vehicle, the deputy asked her to participate in standard field sobriety tests.
She was argumentative and refused to participate. When asked to provide a preliminary breath test the suspect would blow a “very little” amount of air through the tube, and the machine reported “Insufficient flow.”
After multiple attempts the deputy was able to obtain a partial sample that registered 0.208 percent BAC.
Subsequent to arresting the suspect for suspicion of DUI, she would not provide a sufficient breath test at the jail, either. After multiple attempts she stated, “I cannot breath, I’m getting over pneumonia."
A seizure order was required to obtain an evidentiary blood draw. Bail: $1,137.
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested during a traffic stop when a Carson City Sheriff's deputy conducted a records check that returned with a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant issued by Carson City Justice Court, the arrest report said.
