Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Deputies make felony drug arrest
A 29-year-old transient man was arrested Wednesday at 5:37 a.m. in the 300 block of South Carson Street for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, a Sheriff's deputy observed Robert Hunt-Taylor behaving erratically and searching through a trash bin in the patio area of a downtown restaurant.
The suspect continued to put his hands in and out of his pockets, the report said.
The suspect was patted down for weapons and an object protruding out of Hunt-Taylor’s jacket pocket was located. It was later identified as a suspected methamphetamine pipe, the report said.
Incident to arrest, Hunt-Taylor was searched and several small bags with a white powdery substance presumptively identified as methamphetamine were recovered. Total bail: $3,637.
In other arrests:
— A 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday at 12:20 a.m. near the intersection of Carson Street and Fairview Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor first-offense driving under the influence, expired registration and failure to provide proof of insurance, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
A Sheriff's deputy on patrol observed the suspect driving with expired plates and initiated a traffic stop, the arrest report stated.
The suspect was unable to provide proof of insurance. The deputy reported she displayed red, watery eyes and slurred speech.
A preliminary breath test yielded a result of 0.203 percent BAC, the report said. Total bail: $3,486.
— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday at 1:51 a.m. near the intersection of North Plaza Street and East Robinson Street on a misdemeanor warrant issued by Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy report said.
The bench warrant carried a bail amount of $3,000.
